After I watch a movie or a TV show, I have to do it – type the name of the production or one of its stars into Wikipedia and become the ultimate creep, wanting to know as much as possible about their lives and what they did after they were famous. In order to save you from similar disappointment, I give you five home truths that will serve as a lesson, [...]

Irish Feminists: Rebels without a cause
Feminism, in the first wave of the early 20th century, was a radical idea. Not exactly a new one – after all one could argue that powerful female figures throughout history have brought to the fore female empowerment- but it was certainly one that was challenging the ideals set down by a regimented patriarchal society. Women marched, fought and were imprisoned in their quest to achieve basic rights: marriage rights, property rights, and of course the vote. Huge strides were taken by these “sisters”, impassioned suffragettes who were in a [...]
Director of Kony campaign is detained
The co-founder of the Kony campaign, Jason Russell has been taken to hospital in San Diego after he was seen partially naked and yelling at passing cars. ‘Officers responded to a radio call to check the welfare of an individual who was said to be running in the street, interfering with traffic, screaming’ stated Andra Brown, San Diego police spokewoman. The statement continued to explain that Mr Russell was ‘suffering from exhaustion, dehydration and malnutrition.’ He was detained and taken to a medical facility. The executive director, Ben Keesey of Invisible [...]

The Sun on Sunday made it’s debut release on the February 26 2012 and sold more editions than any other UK paper for four years.
